WHO WE ARE
An iconic Maison of Beaujolais
The oldest known ancestor of Dominique Piron, Etienne Bailly, was born around 1590 in Morgon. 4 centuries of Bailly and Piron family have succeeded each other, producing and selling Gamay wine in Morgon. Dominique Piron, operating around 10 family hectares in Morgon, created Maison D.Piron in Morgon in 1987. Wine merchant and wine grower, buying grapes from a few winemaking friends, it was a first in Beaujolais - The Fessy house followed, then Jadot, Duboeuf...
Today the Maison produces the equivalent of 50 hectares of vines and is managed by Julien Revillon, "Original Beaujolais", descendant of 7 generations of winegrowers, who joined Dominique in 2013.

ABOUT OUR WINES
From traditional to exceptional wines; from warm wines to the most drinkable wines, our cuvées are united by the same passion: wine. This driving force stimulates our work every day in order to offer you a wide variety of elegant wines marked by the fruit. We prefer quality that translates into taste, pleasure or sharing.
"The creation of a wine is based on the same requirements and meticulousness as the creation of a dish in gastronomy. The selection of the grapes is essential. Our parcels are unique and our terroirs are extremely varied. Thanks to them, we work wines with a strong identity and subtle flavors. We select our cuvées with the same rigor in our plots and our blends; our quest for excellence is the focus of our work."
Our ambition is to work in harmony with the terroir by valuing it to the highest possible level and drawing on all its diversity in order to create unique cuvées.
"I like wines that shine with their fruit and finesse. I want our wines to express the terroir roots through their bouquets and styles, which are different depending on each vintage and each soil."
Our winemaking methods are mostly traditional, with a desire to favour the expression of the soil from which our grapes come. Our know-how is sometimes supplemented by different aging methods (concrete vats, jars, barrels, etc.) which aim to accentuate the singularity of our juices and to offer you wines that are always more "Original Beaujolais"; mixing heritage, respect for the terroirs, technicality and creativity.

THE CULTURE OF OUR VINES
Facing climate change and integrating the preservation of our natural environment into our cultural practices as best as possible are the new challenges at the heart of our vineyards. Not only to express the typicities of our terroirs as closely as possible, but also to develop authentic wines. Preserve soils and natural resources, promote biodiversity within vineyards by planting hedges, trees, bushes, use reasoned and increasingly sustainable viticulture by using environmentally friendly plant covers and supplies, and finally exploit certain plots in agroecology; our job is to reflect on everyday actions and their consequences on this unique ecosystem.
